When your wifi doesn’t work well — when the signal goes in and out — many English-speakers say “my (the) wifi is spotty”. This happens a lot in the university buildings where I work. The university wifi seems to be okay most of the time, on most floors, but my personal wifi is spotty. It works on the 1st floor but not on the 4th in one building. In another, it doesn’t work on the 7th floor, and although it does work at one end of the second floor, it doesn’t at the other end. Mystifying.
Perhaps “Li-fi” is the solution?
