My ailurophile week

I’ve been staying with my aunt and uncle this week, and they are ailurophiles.

Ailurophile means “cat lover”. This particular cat is 15 years old, which is pretty old in cat years, but she doesn’t look it. She likes to cross her front paws, and I just caught the picture as she was uncrossing them to jump down from the couch.

Ailurophile is pronounced like this:

There are plenty of other words that end in 〜phile, like bibliophile (someone who likes books) and technophile and chocophile. But this word is on another list I found: 117 Most Beautiful Words in the English Language.
