Emoji, characters, and the number 140

Here are two short videos that may inspire you if you’re planning an informative (maybe even fascinating?) 3-6 minute talk for the end of the semester, which we are doing in some classes. Both videos are around the 3-minute mark.

Do you still think that 3 minutes is long? Or that it’s really not enough time to say anything?

What visuals does he use to help him explain?

Do you remember the other adjectives?

  • jaw-dropping
  • informative
  • fascinating
  • c_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (brave)
  • i _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (vs. genius)
  • b _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (not just for appearance)
  • f _ _ _ _ (LOL)
  • i _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (it makes you want to DO something!)
  • p _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (prove it!)

This is also a good chance to notice the usage of the word “character”. Sometimes it means something from Disney (for example), sometimes it means a personality trait … what does it mean in this topic? Are there any other meanings and usages?
