Up, out and moving

Human towers (see yesterday’s post) may even be part of this new game, called Doozy. It’s an “interactive, life-size board game”, which is low-tech and looks like a lot of fun. The creators want to get people up, out and moving.

“Doozy” is an English word that can be used to describe something amazing, surprising, impressive, or unique. It can also have a negative meaning. For instance, “That test was a real doozy. I’d be surprised if I passed.”

Watching the trailer and browsing their website and Kickstarter page, I was reminded a little of a Game Day we had annually at my high school. We called it “Almost Anything Goes” (based on a 70s TV show), and we had obstacle courses, tug-of-war, races, and many other games that got us up, out and moving. It was tons of fun and definitely one of the highlights of my years there. I guess it was a little like the sports festivals Japanese schools have:

but even wackier.
