“Puzzles are culture”

This is a short article from Nikkei Asian Review written by “the godfather of Sudoku”. He seems to be genuinely thrilled that people enjoy puzzles as much as he does. The title of the article is somewhat mistaken: although Mr. Kaji is not the inventor of the puzzle, he is the person who coined the term.

The last paragraph in the article says that he’s working on opening a puzzle cafe in Tokyo (this fall) and one in NYC (next year).

He says,

“Puzzles are culture, and are now also a lifestyle.”

Here are a few places you can play sudoku online: Nikoli puzzles, Web Sudoku, sudoku.com, Sudoku Kingdom.
